Template Builder · Word Add-In

The template builder that lives inside Word

Every other platform makes you rebuild your documents in a clunky web editor. We put the builder where your documents already are — Microsoft Word — so your best paralegal becomes your template engineer on day one.

How it Works

Four steps. Zero training.

01

Open Word. That’s the app.

No web-based document editor to learn. Open the LawOffice.ai Add-In from the Word ribbon and your template studio appears in a task pane beside the document.

02

Click fields into place

Case fields, contact fields, attorney fields, dates with format pickers — click one in the pane and a live merge field lands at your cursor. Hold Shift for uppercase variants.

03

Drop in signature fields

Insert signer name, initials and date fields as locked Word content controls. The platform detects them automatically when it’s time to send for e-signature.

04

Save as template — done

Save straight from Word and attach the template to a case type. From then on, any document drafted from it fills itself with real case data.

The Payoff

Templates that draft for you

Drafting from the case

Pick a template on any case and get a finished document — names, addresses, case numbers, dates — merged and formatted, in seconds.

Drafting from Word

Already in Word? Search your cases and contacts from the task pane, pull their data into the open document, and save it back — without touching the browser.

One source of truth

Templates live in your admin console with fonts, margins and heading styles managed firm-wide. Update once, every future draft follows.

Your next 1,000 documents, pre-written.

Build a template once in Word, and every matter that follows drafts itself. That’s the easiest template builder in legal — because it isn’t a builder you have to learn.
